The Hunger Games
A few months ago I bought all three books in the Hunge Games series on the intent of reading them right away. However with the end of my senior year coming up and a few other factors, I had little time to do anything, including reading. So the books sat and collected dust with the rest of my book collection.
Summer finally came but I got distracted reading another book series I was borrowing from a friend. So again, the books sat.
Finally yesterday I found the time to sit back, relax and read the rest of the book I borrowed from a friend. Then I could finally start The Hunger Games.
The book was even more amazing that I could have ever imaged. I found myself having trouble putting the book down! I only put it down to take a shower (I had orignally been planning to take a bath and read the book while I soaked but the fear of damaging the book stopped me) and eating dinner with my family.
Well anyways needless to say I finished the book within the day. So now I feel like discussing my newest obsession. So anyone who has read the book, feel free to post here and we can chat!

Re: The Hunger Games
SQUEE~! I loved The Hunger Games! I'm pretty sure I read every book but the last one in a day....
And I'm not going to tell you why I didn't read the last one in a day. You'll get to Mockingjay, and I think you'll understand.
The first two were definitely the best

Oh I finished the whole series. Finished Mockingjay this morning. Is the reason why you didn't like the last book as much because of what happened to Peeta?
Re: The Hunger Games
No, I felt the ending was rushed and awkward. What happened to Peeta was...undesirable, but it did add to the story.

Re: The Hunger Games
I do agree the last few chapters were rushed. But my theory is that the author had a deadline and didn't have time to add more detail.
Re: The Hunger Games
Yeah, that's usually the reason. I forever hate deadlines, they seem so far away until the day before.

Re: The Hunger Games
Yeah I agree. I wrote a book for a school project and the first half of it was well paced and full of detail. However suddenly the deadline was coming up and I had to rush the last half.

Aw, I only ever got to write short stories for class ): Oh...and letters, and journal entries. Hah, the Dracula assignment and the Oedipus Rex assignments were my favorites
